Beyoncé pledged $6 million to mental health charities and other initiatives for continued outreach efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
In a press release, Beyoncé highlighted the struggle of “epic proportions” communities of color face during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the lack of funding.
“Many families live in underserved areas in homes that make it harder to practice social distancing,” she explains. “Communities that were already lacking funds for education, health and housing are now faced with alarming infection and fatalities.”
