The Changing Face of the Healthy Snack Industry

Pre-pandemic, the healthy snack category was growing. Roy Morgan data released in February this year showed 54.7 per cent of Australians were consuming healthy snacks weekly; a 3.2 per cent increase compared to a decade earlier.

“However, the pandemic has put a halt to this trend,” says Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine. “The latest figures show the proportion of Australians eating ‘healthy snacks’ has dropped back quickly and reversed the trend of the last few years.”
