thehealthcarestandard.com wants your feedback on our articles! We want to hear about your experiences, reactions, commentary, and even criticism when warranted. Be constructive and tell us your thoughts about a story. Our website does NOT tolerate hate speech, obscenity, personal attacks or bullying of any kind. Criticism is only welcomed when it’s constructive. Insulting writers, other commenters, article subjects, etc. is prohibited. If you have new information regarding a particular news story that would benefit the content of the article, please email us directly at inquiries@thehealthcarestandard.com. This way, it won’t distract other commenters and we’ll be able to resolve the correction more quickly and efficiently.

MODERATING COMMENTS
We monitor comments in order to achieve our greater goal of creating a space in which individuals can have meaningful conversations without fear of being ostracized for their opinions. The comment space is meant to be one of open and honest discussions, personal opinions are welcomed, but targeted negativity will not be tolerated and those comments will be removed. Repeat offenders may have their commenting privileges revoked. This is a right we hold very seriously as maintaining a positive space for discussion is of the utmost importance us.

HOW TO WRITE A COMMENT
If it’s your first time commenting you will need to register. We ask that you register simply so we can ensure that you’re a “real person” who understands and accepts these guidelines. All you need is a display name long with your email (not publicly visible). Once you submit your info, you will be sent an email with a predetermined password. This is to ensure the highest level of security. Only your display name (not your email) will be visible to the public when you comment.

DISPLAY NAMES
Using your real name as your display name is not required. thehealthcarestandard.com understands and respects everyone’s right to privacy. However, display names cannot contain any vulgar or offensive language. In addition, pretending to be someone else through your display name and comments is prohibited and also ruins the experience of having genuine discussions among one another. The distribution of misinformation and/or impersonation is strictly prohibited. Again, our main goal is to create an open and safe space for discussions among individuals of all backgrounds.

WHEN YOUR COMMENT WILL BE POSTED
Since we do monitor comments on our posts, they won’t appear right away when you hit submit. They first need to be approved by our staff to confirm that they’re appropriate. We’re simply checking to make sure nothing in the comments is obscene or directly attacks another individual. Moderation may be delayed at night and on weekends but comments should be posted relatively fast during weekly business hours.
